Driven by his childhood love for pizza al taglio, our founder Donato Mazzola became a pizza apprentice in Rome (Italy) in 1985. He learnt the traditional Italian recipe after years of hard work in several renowned pizzerias under the mentorship of pizza masters. He moved to Singapore in 1997 and dabbled in a few restaurant ventures. However, he missed the taste of authentic pizza al taglio terribly. When he realized that it would suit the market demands here, he opened his first pizza al taglio shop in Sixth Avenue in 2005. Today, he continues to serve up pizza by the slice with passion and commitment. Slice 101 Pizza al Taglio, (Pizza by the slice) originated in Italy. It is a variety of pizza baked in large rectangular trays, and generally sold in slices by weight. The Pizza Slice prides itself on having knowledge and skills with decades of hands-on experience, combined with proven market knowledge after being in Asia for many years. We lovingly source the best ingredients to produce the most popular flavors that promise to linger on your taste buds, and even more so on your minds. Our dough is 100% homemade, left to rise naturally and rolled out manually, making it incredibly fluffy, light-tasting and natural. We do not use any additives or preservatives, and all our pizzas are made fresh daily.
